Shape

With the Shape tool you can easily insert a wide variety of custom shapes into your projects. This includes standard geometric squares and circles, arrows, dialog boxes, and more. You can also transform and combine shapes for your own custom creations.

The currently active shape will show up as an icon in the top left of the Shape interface. By default, the Lasso tool is selected as the active tool, to allow you to create freehand shapes by dragging across the screen. To use another predefined shape stencil, tap on the currently active tool to display the shapes gallery.

Manipulating shapes is done by dragging the anchors which appear whenever a created shape is selected. Resize shapes in any direction through the corresponding anchors on the sides or corners, or rotate shapes through the protruding rotate anchor.

The Additional settings icon provides more options for customization:

Uncheck the Lock aspect ratio checkbox to stretch and compress a shape while you're resizing. The Free transform checkbox lets you manipulate a shapes' anchor points in relation to one another.

Shapes can be created and combined in a variety of ways by using the Shape creation tool:

New shape creates it as a separate layer.
Add shapes merges them one after the other into a single layer.
Subtract shapes erases those sections of shapes which overlap.
Include shapes retains only the overlapping shape sections.
Exclude shapes erases only shape sections which overlap, while retaining the new shape.

You can also quickly delete a selected shape by tapping on the Trash icon (Note that you will not be able to delete a shape if it's the only layer in your project).

Shapes can also be colored in a variety of ways:

Fill will produce a shape entirely of the selected color.
Stroke provides a transparent shape with a colored border.
Fill and Stroke combines the two options.

Depending on your selected shape creation method, you'll be able to adjust the following options:
